Cristex supplies a comprehensive range of products manufactured from Glass Fibre (E.C.S. ECR), Carbon Fibre, Aramid Fibre, Dyneema®, Thermoplastic (nylon, polyester etc.) Epoxy Resins, and Natural Fibres.

CARBON

The standard range of Carbon Fibre Fabrics available on the market has been developed over many years but essentially embraces Plain, Twills and Satin weave patterns. The earliest fabrics were based on 3k fibres which typically weigh around 200g per square meter to 285g per square meter. However with the development of heavier tows such as 6k, 12k, 24k and more lately 48k and upwards, the fabric weight increased from the 160g-285g up to 650g and even heavier. Additionally the development of 1k fibre also means fabrics around the 90g to 120g can be produced with good quality. The surface treatment for Carbon Fibres historically centred on compatibility with Epoxy Resins but in recent years sizing systems have been created to work with alternative Resin Systems such as Polyester, Vinyl-ester and Phenolic amongst others.
