Spirit of GB with Guy Martin
The Spirit of GB is a totally British project targeting the current motorcycle land speed record of 376.363 mph. Cristex are proud to share that we are supporting this exciting project and will be supplying a range of Carbon fibre fabrics.
The 30-foot long rolling chassis is complete and is up and running with its Rolls-Royce Gem-42 turboshaft engine and transmission system already tested to 150 mph on track at Elvington Airfield’s 1.9 mile runway in 2021.
The world record attempt (including a pre-event test week) is then targeted for the very large, high altitude Uyuni, Bolivia salt desert in October, 2026.
There will be a launch event for the Spirit of GB brand at The Speed Show at Elvington on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 – Sunday, February 23rd 2025. This event is open to the public and is family-friendly, Guy Martin will be in attendance alongside the Spirit of GB bike as he prepares for the upcoming Guinness World Record attempt!
