At Cristex, we care about our employee’s interests outside of work too! Ben, our Production Manager, known for his passion of the outdoors, embarked on another route.

Ben started his journey from the Wasdale Head, up Lingmell. The view behind Ben shows Scafell Pike & Scafell, known to be England’s tallest mountains, standing at 329ft & 3163ft.

This is Ben’s 204th Wainwright – Lingmell 2648ft, clear skies and a bright sun was in appearance.

After Lingmell, Ben took the short decent to the valley before taking on the second Wainwright of the day and England’s tallest mountain, Scafell Pike. 400 meters of their destination, lies the 5th highest peak in England, standing at 3,064 feet.

A short 500m climb and 30 minutes later, they arrived at the top of Scafell Pike, soaking up their surrounding views.

After 5 hours of hiking, they crossed the bridge to make their return back to the car and headed back home.
