Back to Multiaxial / Non-crimp Fabrics
Unidirectional Non-Crimp Fabrics (UD NCF)
Unidirectional non-crimp fabrics (UD NCF) are advanced composite reinforcements designed to maximise fibre performance by aligning fibres in a single direction without the crimp associated with traditional woven fabrics.
The reinforcement fibres are held together using lightweight stitching yarns rather than interlacing the fibres, helping maintain straight fibre orientation and improving mechanical efficiency within the laminate.
UD NCF materials are widely used in structural composite applications where high stiffness, low weight and efficient resin infusion performance are critical.
Key Benefits
-
Excellent strength-to-weight performance
-
Improved directional mechanical properties
-
Reduced fibre crimp compared to woven reinforcements
-
Enhanced laminate efficiency and structural performance
-
Excellent resin flow characteristics
-
Improved laminate consistency in thick structures
-
Suitable for infusion, RTM and prepreg applications
-
Efficient handling and repeatable processing

Advanced Processing Solutions
STEADY Plus
STEADY Plus is an engineered non-crimp reinforcement designed to improve resin flow and laminate consistency during infusion and RTM processing.
The integrated flow-enhancing structure helps achieve faster and more controlled resin distribution throughout the laminate.
Key Benefits of STEADY Plus
• Improved resin flow performance
• Reduced risk of dry spots
• Faster infusion processing times
• Enhanced laminate consistency
• Improved manufacturing repeatability
STEADY Plus is particularly suited to structural applications where laminate quality and processing efficiency are critical.
Magic Flow
Magic Flow is an advanced high-flow UD reinforcement developed for thick laminate applications requiring extremely efficient resin distribution.
The engineered structure supports resin flow through laminate thicknesses up to approximately 140 mm while maintaining laminate consistency and structural performance.
Key Benefits of Magic Flow
• High resin flow performance
• Reduced infusion times
• Improved wet-out in thick laminates
• Enhanced laminate consistency
• Suitable for large structural components
