Hybrid Fabric
Hybrid fabrics are composite reinforcements created by combining two or more fibre types within a single fabric structure, typically in the warp and weft directions or through multi- layer constructions.
By combining materials such as carbon fibre, aramid and glass, hybrid fabrics allow engineers to tailor mechanical properties, balancing strength, stiffness, impact resistance and cost within a single laminate.
This makes hybrid fabrics particularly effective in applications where a single reinforcement type cannot deliver all required performance characteristics.
