Cristex Strengthens Aerospace Capabilities with Investment in Third Zünd Cutting System Ahead of New Site Launch

Cristex has announced the purchase of a third Zünd digital cutting machine, further expanding its cutting and kitting capacity in preparation for the opening of its new dedicated facility. The contract was signed at Advanced Engineering 2025 by Scott Singleton, Operations Manager at Cristex, alongside representatives from Zünd UK.

This latest investment marks a key step in Cristex’s growth strategy, ensuring the company’s Cutting & Kitting (CCK) Aerospace division is fully equipped to meet increasing customer demand for high-precision composite kits.

“The addition of a third Zünd machine is a strategic move as we prepare for the transition to our new site,” said Scott Singleton, Operations Manager at Cristex. “This investment will allow us to scale production, enhance efficiency, and deliver even greater accuracy and consistency for our aerospace customers.”

The new Zünd system will support Cristex’s focus on automation, repeatability, and material optimisation, forming part of a broader investment programme across its CCK Aerospace operations.

This expansion underscores Cristex’s long-term commitment to innovation and advanced manufacturing, positioning the company to deliver industry leading composite cutting and kitting services from its new, purpose-built facility.
