Biaxial
Biaxial Fibres have two layers orientated at 0˚/90˚ or +45˚/-45˚ bound together using polyester stitching yarns. Alternative angles are available on request.
The Benefits
- Improvement in mechanical properties
- Improved resistance to fatigue and impact
- Improved stability even when cut
- Can be supplied as a high drape fabric (+/-45˚)
- Improves surface finish (print through) is often achieved using a +/-45˚ structure
What We Offer
Available in a standard width of 127cm (other widths are available subject to minimum order quantities). +/-45˚ fabrics can be supplied with an additional layer of CSM 225g or 300g as needed. Cristex offers a range of Biaxial fabrics in the following fibres and weights:

Triaxial
Triaxial fabrics have three layers positioned in three different orientations typically, +/- 45˚ and 0˚ or +/-45˚ and 90˚ with polyester stitching yarns.
The Benefits
- Reduction in the number of layers to be used
- Increase in areal weights
- Increase in torsional rigidity, longitudinal (0˚ 4/-45˚ or transvers 90˚ +/-45˚)
What We Offer
Triaxial fabrics can be supplied in the following fibres and weights:
- Glass fibre: 600g – 1800g
- Carbon fibre: 450g – 900g
- Aramid fibre: please contact the sales team for further information
Other weights can be considered subject to minimum order quantities.
